Compensating functional iron deficiency in patients with allergies with targeted micronutrition

چکیده
Summary Iron deficiency is associated with atopy. during pregnancy increases the risk of atopic diseases in children, while both allergic children and adults are more likely to have iron anemia. Immunologically, leads activation antigen-presenting cells, promotion Th2 cells enables antibody class switch B cells. In addition, primes mast for degranulation, an increase their content inhibits degranulation. Many allergens, especially those lipocalin lipocalin-like protein structures, able bind either deprive or supply this trace element immune Thus, a local induced will result sensitization. However, proteins such as whey β‑lactoglobulin (BLG) can also transport micronutrients into defense (holo-BLG: BLG micronutrients) hinder activation, thereby promoting tolerance protecting against allergy. Since 2019, several clinical trials been conducted subjects using holo-BLG supplementary balanced diet, leading reduction symptom burden. Supplementation specifically supplied therefore represents new dietary approach compensate functional allergy sufferers.

Neutrophil impairment associated with iron therapy in hemodialysis patients with functional iron deficiency.
Hemodialysis patients treated with recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) need adequate iron supplementation to avoid rhEPO hyporesponsiveness due to iron deficiency. Low serum ferritin reflects absolute iron deficiency, whereas normal or high ferritin values in combination with low transferrin saturation (< 20%) indicate functional iron deficiency. In this study, healthy subjects (group I) w...
متن کاملIron Deficiency and Iron Deficiency Anemia in Children with Febrile Seizure
Abstract Background Febrile seizure (FS) is the most common childhood seizures which occur in 2-5% of children. Studies about association between iron deficiency and febrile seizure have shown contradictory results. The purpose of this study was to compare the iron status of children with first febrile seizure and healthy control group. Materials and Methods In an analytic case-control ...
